The ancient hills of Khandagiri and Udayagiri in Bhubaneswar, which showcase Odisha’s rich heritage and the historic legacy of Emperor Kharavela, are set to receive a long-awaited makeover after years of neglect. Famous for its rock-cut caves, the site has often been criticized for inadequate maintenance. The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has now moved forward with concrete plans to rejuvenate and beautify the area.

As part of the initiative, OTDC has prepared a Detailed Project Report (DPR) and submitted it to the National Monument Authority (NMA) for approval.
