Realistically, Center Line and St. Clair are in the same boat.
Neither school has legions of high- or medium-level club soccer players roaming their respective school hallways.
Both have had soccer programs for quite some time, but neither are entertaining ideas of winning state championships this season or in the near future.
But both schools are slowly building up quality programs and taking the steps to do so.
This season, Center Line and St. Clair shared the Macomb Area Conference Silver Division titles with identical 8-0-2 league records. The two team s teams tied twice – 1-1 back on Aug. 20 in the league opener and again on Sept. 15 by a 2-2 score..
