CHICAGO — In 30 hours at Wrigley Field, the Milwaukee Brewers went from having a nice cushion to teetering on the edge of their seats, faced with only one more chance now to stave off the Chicago Cubs and yet another soul-crushing early playoff exit.
And the fate of the year that saw them win more regular-season games than any other team in franchise history largely rests not only on the bullpen, but, more specifically, the rocket right arm of rookie Jacob Misiorowski.
The Brewers will turn to a bullpen game on Oct. 11 for the winner-take-all Game 5 of this National League Division Series in which they just tossed away two perfectly good chances of winning on Chicago's North Side.
