How football was the right choice for Cheboygan standout Miller

CHEBOYGAN – Tough decisions are going to come throughout life.

Prior to his sophomore year, Killian Miller – fresh off an outstanding freshman soccer season with the Cheboygan Chiefs – had a choice on his hands.

A tough choice.

Stay with soccer or return to football ?

What made everything hard wasn’t just his love for the two sports, but it was the fact that somebody very close to him watched him thrive on the pitch in 2023.

His father, Bob – Cheboygan’s soccer coach at the time.

Eventually, Miller gathered up the courage to tell his dad his sport of choice.

He went with football, and dad gave him full support.

“He said he didn’t care and was like, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’m all for it,’ so once I talked to him, and he made it a lot easier to decide because he had my back,”
