Vicky Pattison has addressed speculation that she's quit Strictly Come Dancing.

The TV personality sparked concern after she missed a scheduled appearance with her dance partner Kai Widdrington on Strictly: It Takes Two this week. The pair pulled out of the spin-off show at the last minute on Monday, leading fans to fear the worst about Vicky's future on Strictly.

On Thursday, the 37-year-old star took to social media to set the record straight.

Alongside a selfie of her smiling with Kai, Vicky wrote on Instagram: "There seems to have a bit of a miscommunication! @kaiwidd was poorly earlier on in the week and I wasn't 110% so we had to pull out of our weekly appearance on It Takes Two... that's it."

The former Geordie Shore star went on to insist she was embracing her time on Strictly and enjoying the busy rehearsal schedule. She also reassured fans that Kai had recovered from his illness.

She continued: "I have not dropped out of Strictly... I'm having a lovely time and really grateful for this experience! Plus, Kai is feeling better now so we're back in the rehearsal room... just thought I'd clear that up."

Last week, Vicky revealed she had returned to therapy to cope with her nerves ahead of the live Strictly shows each weekend. She also confessed her anxiety had almost stopped her from taking part in the BBC show this year.

Just hours before her scheduled appearance on Strictly: It Takes Two on Monday, Vicky revealed she had been feeling unwell and Kai had also been hit by illness. She took to Instagram to assure fans the pair were doing "all we can to get back to our best" and vowed to be back in the training room as soon as possible.

This week Vicky also admitted she was struggling to get to grips with her complex routine and was feeling "overwhelmed" by her other work commitments.

On Saturday, Vicky and Kai will be performing a Charleston to Fergie's A Little Party Never Killed Nobody.
