That new left turn on U.S. 41? Officials say it's cut down on crashes

After a redesign of U.S. 41's intersection with Washington Avenue, data compiled by the Indiana Department of Transportation shows a reduction in crashes.

Between May and August, local law enforcement reported only six crashes at or near the intersection, and since June, there’s only been one.

The intersection redesign compliments the long-fought-for pedestrian bridge spanning U.S. 41 near Benjamin Bosse High School.
