On Friday, October 10, a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck offshore in the region of Mindanao in the Southern Philippines. According to civil defense deputy administrator Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV, one person passed away after being hit by falling debris. Luckily, this seems to be the only fatality at the moment.

The quake lasted about 30–40 seconds and hit the country about ten days after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck in Bogo City, killing 71 people and displacing 80,000. Unfortunately, aftershocks are still being felt in the area.
