Reading recent headlines regarding difficulties nonprofits are facing with funding makes me think that now would be an excellent time for them to consider consolidating with other groups having similar goals.
As it stands today, each nonprofit needs a board of directors and some have an executive director and added staff. There is so much duplication of work and funding that could be reduced if like-minded nonprofits got together.
It might be difficult, as each nonprofit has its own kuleana, but that doesn’t make it a bad idea.
