A project to refurbish Glenkens Community Centre has been completed. ‌

The former school building in Dalry has been renovated with new insulation, energy-efficient windows and low energy lighting, as well as solar panels and an air source heat pump, among the new features. ‌

The work was made possible thanks to a £133,000 grant from SP Energy Networks’ Transmission Net Zero Fund. ‌

Funding and partnerships manager at SP Energy Networks, Jillian Violaris, said: “This project is a fantastic example of how sustainable investment can strengthen rural communities.
