GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Georgetown County Emergency Services will conduct a joint training exercise on Friday with 3V Sigma USA.
Residents and businesses around Woodstock Street can expect an increased presence of emergency vehicles, equipment, and personnel from around 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
County officials said sirens, radios, and other training may be heard and seen during that time. They said this is a pre-planned exercise and there is no cause for alarm.
"Regular exercises with our industrial partners help us sharpen coordination, communications, and response operations," said Brandon Ellis, Director of Georgetown County Emergency Services.
