LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A gorgeous weather weekend is ahead for outdoor plans, though rain still will be sparse for the next seven days.

Morning lows this weekend will range from the upper 50s north of I-10, low-to mid and upper 60s along the interstate and a touch warmer at the coast. Those numbers are still near or just above normal for this time of year, but better than the 70s we will have the next few days! Afternoon highs will climb into the mid and upper 80s because dry air heats up quicker.

There will be no rain Friday through at least the middle of next week. This is good news for outdoor events such as Friday night football games and other plans you may have as the weather looks beautiful tonight.
