Canton Ballet is celebrating its 60th season.

Canton Ballet alumni include former New York City Ballet principal dancer Zachary Catazaro and actor Tommie Earl Jenkins of "Wednesday" and "The Rainmaker."

CANTON − Ashlyn Wood oozed passion as she discussed the Canton Ballet.

The 17-year-old Jackson Township student caught her breath after a demanding practice, followed by a rehearsal of the ballet's upcoming "Peter and the Wolf" production.

Wood has been dancing at the local ballet since age 3.
