The Ava Sofia Foundation is offering the 2nd Annual Sensory Festival on Saturday at the Hilo Daijingu located at 10 Anela St.

The Ava Sofia Foundation is a nonprofit offering support and services for keiki with a diagnosis of autism or a similar developmental or intellectual disability, an Individualized Education Program in the school system, or active involvement in early intervention, event coordinator Anne Jose said.

“We often help to assuage any parent with concerns on their child’s development, and we assist them with establishing the appropriate services and supports,” Jose said. “We offer services in and out of the home not only for the child, but their entire ‘ohana.”
