In a significant diplomatic engagement that marks one of the rare high-level contacts between India and the Taliban regime, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Friday said that Kabul would “not allow its territory to be used against any country.” The assurance came after a closed-door meeting with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
Addressing a press conference following the talks, Muttaqi said his discussions with Jaishankar were “fruitful and forward-looking,” adding that both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in trade, development, and security. “We welcome India’s decision to continue developmental projects and expand their scope in Afghanistan,” he said, expressing gratitude for India’s humanitarian support during the recent ea
