PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Dozens of Michael Jordan fans lined up Friday in Philadelphia for the grand opening of Jordan Brand's first "World of Flight" store in the U.S.

The brand new flagship store is located near 16th and Walnut streets in Center City, and is expected to open on Friday at 10 a.m.

Some customers came as far as Houston and Miami to get their hands on whatever select items they can find.

Action News got a preview of the store earlier this week.

Nike Jordan Brand officials are promising athlete surprises and other fun for the grand opening.

They said Philadelphia has one of the largest demands for basketball and that the World of Flight will offer unique items, while tapping into Philadelphia culture.
