An assistant principal from Macomb County is accused of having sex with a minor child earlier this week, prosecutors said Thursday.
Jerome Younger, 54, of Roseville, was arraigned in 39th District Court on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a life felony, and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
Younger is employed as an assistant principal of Edward “Duke” Ellington Conservatory of Music and Art at Beckham Academy in Detroit.
Prosecutors said Younger sexually assaulted a child on Wednesday, Oct. 8. No further information was released, including where the assault allegedly took place.
