UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A proposed Washington Boulevard Trail, that was to lead from Cain Park in Cleveland Heights to University Heights’ Walter Stinson Park, has been put on an indefinite hold.
During a meeting held Thursday (Oct. 9), City Council had on its agenda two pieces of legislation that would have got the ball rolling on the design and surveying work for the trail. After lengthy discussion, however, no council member motioned to take a vote on either one.
Part of the Heights Regional Active Transportation Plan being undertaken by the cities of University Heights, Cleveland Heights and South Euclid, the all-purpose trail is not listed in that plan among its top priorities.
