After IAS officer Amneet P Kumar raised a slew of questions over the death of her husband and Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, who was found with a gunshot wound at their Chandigarh residence on Tuesday, the Haryana government has reportedly been scrambling its resources to pacify the agitated family.
Three days after Kumar’s death, his family is yet to give consent for the post-mortem examination even as the body lies at the Government Multi Specialty Hospital in Sector 16. The Chandigarh Police had written to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) to constitute a board of doctors for the post-mortem examination, with instructions to videograph it.
