Marathon weekend is officially here, with thousands of runners and spectators hitting the streets of Chicago for the 47th annual 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
The race also means dozens of street closures and parking restrictions neighborhoods, some of which are already in place.

One day prior to the race, Grant Park will also host the Abbott Chicago 5k.
The event begins with the men's wheelchair race start at 7:20 a.m. CT on Sunday. Marathon start times are staggered into "carousels," so runners will cross the finish line at varying points throughout the day.
The course has a time limit
