Iowa City Liberty volleyball player Hadley Miller and Iowa City Regina football player Gabriel Hegelheimer were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen’s Athletes of the Week for Sept. 29- Oct. 5.

Miller earned girls Athlete of the Week with 78% of the vote.

Miller made her presence felt in Liberty volleyball's 3-0 win (26-24, 25-18, 25-20) over Western Dubuque on Sept. 30.

The 5-foot-5 setter and outside hitter totaled 18 digs with six digs per set. Miller led the team with 28 assists and tallied five kills and two blocks. The junior was a perfect 17 of 17 serving the ball.

Hegelheimer was voted boys Athlete of the Week with 47% of the vote.

Hegelheimer scored on the first play of the game in Regina football's 41-7 win over Sigourney Keota.
