GRAND FORKS — Frank Serratore started coaching college hockey in 1987 as a UND assistant.
He is now 68, the oldest head coach in the country.
Serratore knows the history of the sport as well as anyone, and he says the 2025-26 season will be different.
"Get ready for a year unlike any we have ever seen in the history of college hockey," said Serratore, who is entering his 24th season at Air Force. "We're witnessing a massive paradigm shift, the size of which college hockey has never seen.
"This is going to be a special year. The real beneficiaries are going to be the fans of college hockey. They're going to be watching the best college hockey ever played, collectively, from top to bottom."
