MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A ceremony is being held for the xAI Colossus Water Recycling Plant on Friday morning.

The recycling plant is a state-of-the-art $80 million facility featuring the world's largest ceramic membrane bioreactor wastewater recycling system.

The company says up to 13 million gallons of wastewater will be processed daily, which will eliminate the need to draw from the Memphis Aquifer for industrial use.

This comes after xAI has offered to purchase about 13 acres of city property to build a wastewater recycling facility to cool the company’s Colossus supercomputer in southwest Memphis.
