Port Colborne’s urgent care centre will close a few hours early Sunday due to ongoing challenges finding physicians able to work.
Niagara Health said the UCC, typically open until 8 p.m., will instead close at 4 p.m.
It will reopen at 10 a.m. Monday, and resume normal hours of operation.
“This temporary change is due to ongoing challenges finding enough physicians to cover all shifts,” the hospital system said in a statement. “Despite strong efforts — including outreach to local doctors and offering extra incentives — not every shift can be filled.
“These struggles are ongoing, and we encourage residents to check our website before visiting a UCC to confirm hours of operation.”
