A new Franklin & Marshall College poll shows Gov. Josh Shapiro’s approval rating above water – ten points higher than President Donald Trump – as Pennsylvanians’ views on the economy begin to level out.
Consistent with prior polls , Shapiro continues to be comparatively popular, with 51% of those surveyed rating his performance “good” or “excellent.” Only 41% of those voters thought the same of Trump.
Several factors may be contributing to those marks, the F&M poll found. Asked about their financial situation, 16% of respondents said they were better off than they were a year ago, a number that has remained relatively consistent over several years of polling data.
