The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) board will meet on December 18 to decide whether or not to permanently remove Perth's third pumping appliance and cut 15 jobs.
The Fire Brigades Union has said Perth and Kinross councillors have been "near silent" on the scale of cuts proposed in the SFRS Service Delivery Review which could put lives at risk.
The FBU is concerned response times to incidents have already increased by 17 per cent since 2016 and says cuts proposed in neighbouring Dundee and Fife will have a knock-on impact on Perth and Kinross, with crews having to wait longer for support.
There were more than 3500 responses to the 12-week consultation on the SFRS Service Delivery Review, which has now concluded.
