BOARDMAN A 48-year-old parolee has been arrested in Boardman on a felony robbery charge, shortly after police say he stole cash from a PNC bank branch near the Southern Park Mall.

Tary Gilbert was arrested Thursday by the Boardman Police Department and booked into the Mahoning County Jail on a federal warrant for probation violation and charges stemming from earlier incidents in Youngstown.

According to the police report, a teller at the PNC Branch on Market Street told officers a man—later identified as Gilbert—approached the counter just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, initially asking to make a withdrawal. The man then allegedly demanded "all of the cash from the drawer."
