LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The nominations for the 49th Annual Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards are up, and KPLC’s Rhonda has made the list for her personal and emotional story about the tragic death of her son.

Remembering Andrew , written just three weeks after his suicide, details not just the struggle of a parent dealing with that unimaginable pain, but also an exploration of Andrew’s life and how a tragedy like this can happen.

Between the report, Andrew’s organ donation, and the multiple stories Rhonda has brought to the community urging suicide awareness and prevention, Andrew’s final gift may be the lives that he has and will save.

KPLC congratulates Rhonda for her nomination and thanks her for all her work this year in bringing attention to such an important cause.
