The Mt. Hope High School girls' volleyball team made it an even dozen of victories to start its 2025 season after the Huskies traveled to Lincoln High Wednesday night, Oct. 8, and returned home with a slightly misleading 3-0 win.

The host Lions pressed the first-place Huskies early, pushing the locals past the 25-point mark in each of the first two sets. Mt. Hope managed to win both by the scores of 26-24. The Huskies had a bit easier a time in finishing off the sweep, winning Game 3 by a 25-18 count.

"I knew it would be," MHHS head coach Lisa Lunney said of the tightly contested outing with Lincoln, which fell to 8-4 in the Division II standings with the loss. "They're a very scrappy team."
