In space, no one can hear you scream. But at New York Comic Con, everyone finally heard Ridley Scott sing praise of Alien: Earth .

On Thursday night of New York Comic Con, under the lights of the Empire Stage, FX brought the cast of Alien: Earth —which wrapped its first season last month on September 23—for an encore screening of the show's pilot episode . The screening was followed by a Q&A hosted and moderated by TV critic Alan Sepinwall, and attended by a few of the show's main stars (including Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Babou Ceesay, and Samuel Blenkin) along with producer David Zucker.

During the panel, Zucker pulled out from his pocket a letter written to the cast and crew by Ridley Scott, the famed filmmaker who directed the original 1979 classic Alien. Zucker read
