Liam Gallagher said an emotional goodbye to his pal Ricky Hatton this afternoon. The Oasis frontman was among the mourners at the boxing icon's funeral at Manchester Cathedral.

As he left the service, Liam was seen to kiss his hand before touching Ricky's sky blue coffin, which has the words Manchester City badge and the words 'Blue Moon' etched onto it, after it had been placed back in the hearse.

Ricky is set to make one final trip to the Etihad Stadium , with the cortege heading to the Blues' home after the funeral.

Liam attended the memorial with partner with his partner Debbie Gwyther and family. He made the touching gesture as he filed out with the scores of family, friends and celebrities who attended the service.
