The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 101 points, and the Nasdaq composite rose 0.1%. Momentum has slowed for the market this past week, but a report coming later in the morning about U.S. consumer sentiment could drive more movement. Oil prices dropped as a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into effect in Gaza. The price of gold ticked back above $4,000 per ounce following its sharp slide on Thursday.
