SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - The home field heroics continued for the Marshwood High School football team on Thursday, Oct. 9.
Junior quarterback Michael Sbrizza and senior wide receiver Brady Isabelle hooked up on an 86-yard touchdown pass with 1:22 left in the fourth quarter that gave the Hawks a 33-28 win over Falmouth.
“We talked about it at halftime,” said Marshwood coach Alex Rotsko. “At some point in the second half we’re going to do this.”
The timing couldn’t have been better. With the Hawks trailing 28-27, Isabelle got behind the defense and Sbrizza hit him in stride for the game-winning score.
“It was just right play, right time,” Sbrizza said. “We had a couple good looks throughout the game on that play. We just called it again and it ended up working.”
