Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell has returned to music for the first time since his now-former band’s infamous blow-up, with Farrell collaborating on a new song with techno musician Carl Cox .

In September 2024, Jane’s Addiction came to an abrupt and explosive end during a Boston concert when Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro onstage, an incident that resulted in the reunion tour’s immediate cancellation , the band breaking up , and now a pair of lawsuits .

While Farrell’s former Jane’s Addiction band mates rebounded to new music together sans the singer, Farrell himself has kept a low profile over the past year, until the release Friday of Cox’s new song “Joya.”
