The case against a Chicago man accused of ID theft and related crimes in Oakland County has advanced to circuit court for possible trial.
Judge Maureen McGinnis of 52-4 District Court bound over the case against David Andrew Williams on Oct. 9 after he waived his right to a preliminary exam.
Williams, 30, is charged with identity theft, stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent, and a misdemeanor for driving without an operator’s license on-person. Arrested on Sept. 21 in Troy, Williams was booked that day in the Oakland County Jail. His bond is set at $75,000 with a 10% provision — meaning he can be released if he posts $7,500 cash or surety.
