FOXBOROUGH – Antonio Gibson stood outside the visitors’ locker room in Highmark Stadium. The running back suffered a season-ending injury in the middle of the Patriots upset win over the Buffalo Bills.
After the game was over, Gibson was there to welcome in every Patriot after their big win. A popular teammate, he wanted to be there for his teammates.
This week, after learning he had suffered a torn ACL, the running back gave a message to Terrell Jennings.
“He told me, ‘It’s your time, man, come on, it’s time to go,’” Jennings said. “I took that hard, because that’s my brother. I’m with him every day. And to see him go down like that, it hurt me to the core. So, I would be wrong if I didn’t go out there and do my job to uphold his standard.”
