Robert Morris women’s basketball is coming off a semifinal appearance in the Horizon League tournament.

The Colonials were selected to finish in second place in the conference’s preseason poll released Thursday.

Noa Givon was named as a preseason all-league selection along with Pitt transfer Aislin Malcolm (Chartiers Valley).

Givon averaged 10.6 points per game for the Colonials last season.

Penn State men’s hockey

Penn State sophomore Charlie Cerrato was named the Big Ten Hockey First Star of the Week following a six-point outburst in a weekend sweep at No. 14 Arizona State as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. This marks the first career weekly accolade for Cerrato.
