Nobel Peace Prize Winner Dedicates Honor to the People of Venezuela — And Donald Trump

Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado dedicated her Nobel Peace Prize to “the suffering people of Venezuela” and President Donald Trump on Friday.

The Nobel Committee honored Machado on Friday “for her tireless work promoting democratic rights” in her home country of Venezuela, despite anticipation that Trump might receive the prize for his Gaza peace deal. Trump supporters in the U.S. and in Israel alike pushed for the committee to give the president the award after Israel and Hamas signed his 20-point plan just days ago.

Taking to X, however, Machado extended her dedication to Trump
