DES MOINES, Iowa —
The implosion of the decades-old Riverfront YMCA took place just after 7 a.m. Oct. 4, 2015.
Crowds that gathered first saw a fireball shoot into the sky, followed by a series of explosions that crumbled the 60-year-old building.
KCCI photographer Cortney Kintzer caught the entire implosion on video.
Photographer Jack Lande, of Found Photography, sent KCCI a unique, bird's-eye-view of the implosion taken from a drone.
