An unidentified company is asking for nearly $18 million in incentives to bring 505 jobs and an $860 million venture to Guilford County.
"Project Titan" is requesting $17.94 million in performance-based incentives from the Guilford County Commissioners. The funds would come from the county's General Fund.
A legal notice posted Friday said the company "is considering a new project at the Rock Creek area, in addition to other options within the United States."
The likely location is Rock Creek Center, an industrial park in Whitsett that recently landed a major Lenovo expansion.
Project Titan would have until Dec. 31, 2033, to create the 505 jobs.
The commissioners have set a public hearing for 4 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Old County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St. in downtown Greensboro.
