CHICAGO — Rutgers coach Steve Pikiell and two of his players — guard Jamichael Davis and forward Dylan Grant — represented the Scarlet Knights at Big Ten Media Day on Thursday.

Dorian Jones’ status remains in the air

Rutgers is “still working on” the true freshman’s status heading into the 2025-26 season, Pikiell said. The former four-star recruit enrolled in the school in the fall after getting out of his national letter of intent with Ohio State early in the summer, and it remains unclear if he will be eligible to play this winter.

“We’ll see where that takes us,” Pikiell said. “When you get a kid that late, you got to get some things straightened out.”
