Hyundai is recalling 135,386 vehicles that could short circuit during a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) explained in a recall report that the B+ positive terminal cover on the starter motor in the recalled cars might not be installed correctly, and this can result in an electrical short during a crash, which may boost the risk of damage or fire.

Hyundai estimates roughly 1% of eligible vehicles are impacted by improperly installed covers, the NHTSA report stated.
