SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, MI – A man from Flushing died after being ejected from his vehicle in a crash in Shiawassee County, police said.

Deputies from the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 4:41 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, to the crash on Copas Road near Byron Road.

They found a man lying in a field, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The Venice Fire Department responded to the scene first and began conducting CPR on the victim. The victim was also treated by Corunna Ambulance.

He was the lone occupant and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, according to the release.
