Edinburgh Qatar flight makes mid-air diversion due to issue with 'on

An Edinburgh Qatar flight was forced to make a mid-air diversion due to a problem with the onboard fridges.

Flight QR030 left Edinburgh for Doha just after 3pm on October 9 before diverting to London Heathrow.

It comes after a technical issue regarding the on-board chillers was reported. The aircraft landed in London to uplift catering before heading to the Qatar capital.

The airline have since said the security and safety of their passengers is their "highest priority".

Edinburgh Live understands passengers witnessed crew load food onto the flight before departing from Heathrow.

A Qatar Airways spokesperson: “Qatar Airways confirms that flight QR030 from Edinburgh to Doha diverted to London Heathrow on 9 October due to a technical issue relating to the on-board chillers.

"The aircra
