Miss Angel Aleta has made history by winning a bronze medal for India at the 3rd Junior Asian Pencak Silat Championship, held from 25th to 30th September 2025 at the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar. The championship featured 300 athletes from 11 countries and was organised by the Indian Sports Ministry and the Asian Pencak Silat Federation, with support from the Jammu and Kashmir authorities.

Competing in the Tanding (Fight) category in the 39 kg to 43 kg weight class, Angel Aleta became the first athlete from Andaman to bring home a medal for India in the sport. Her remarkable achievement was made possible with the guidance and support of her coaches, Shihan M. S. Murugan and Er. Logarjun of Pencak Silat Martial Arts.
