BUCKSNORT, Tenn. (WSMV) - Emergency responders are searching for survivors after an explosion at a Tennessee explosives manufacturer in Hickman County on Friday morning.

An official with Humphrey County Emergency Management said at least 19 are missing and multiple others have been hospitalized. A separate source confirmed to WSMV4 that one is possibly dead.

The Hickman County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems near Bucksnort.

Officials are expected to host a press conference at about 11 a.m. with updates on the emergency response.

HCSO said emergency crews are on scene to address the situation and asked people to avoid the area to allow first responders to work efficiently.
