An investigation has been launched after a shop in Dumbarton was robbed by a masked man wearing a football top.

At around 12.55am on Thursday, October 9, a man entered the shop at the Lomondgate Services and threatened a member of staff, demanding money from the till.

Following the incident, he headed off in the direction of Bellsmyre. The member of staff was uninjured following the incident.

Police say the suspect is white, around 5ft 9 inches in height and of medium build.

He was wearing a black coloured football top with orange stripes down one sleeve and green stripes down the other, black jogging trousers, a grey beanie hat and a black snood or face covering.
