It’s going to be a cold Thanksgiving long weekend in Calgary, and the forecast is calling for a significant drop in temperatures before a warm-up arrives.

According to the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecast, the weather in Calgary is above average for today, Oct. 10; however, the thermometer takes a dip as we move through the long weekend.

Calgary is forecast to reach a sunny high of 19°C today, with an overnight low of 11°C, which is well above average for both.

The daytime high on Saturday is above average at 16°C, before dropping to -2°C, with rain during the day and rain or snow overnight.

Temperatures continue their downward trend on Sunday, with plenty of cloud cover and a high of -1°C and an overnight low of -6°C.
