SEATTLE — It has been one month since a Seattle man was reported missing while on a hiking trip in Southern California.

Billy Pierson went hiking with a friend in early August, but after that, the two went their separate ways and Pierson has not been seen since.

Pierson's car was located at the Big Pine Canyon Day Use parking area on Sept. 10. It's believed he may have attempted to climb Temple Crag, but multiple search and rescue operations in that area have turned up no clues. The Inyo County Sheriff's Office is taking the lead on looking for Pierson.

Pierson's family said he may have also traveled to North Palisades, Mt. Sill, Thunderbolt Peak or Mt. Aggasiz.
