John Lodge, who spent over a half-century as the singer and bass player in The Moody Blues (Night in White Satin), died at the age of 82.
Per The Associated Press, Lodge's family said he died "suddenly and unexpectedly" and was "surrounded by his loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly.”
The BBC added that the family said, "We will forever miss his love, smile, kindness, and his absolute and never-ending support."
