MARTINSBURG, W. Va. — A Martinsburg man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for a shooting incident that happened just outside a Martinsburg High School football game last fall.
Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Kinser told The Panhandle News Network Scott Christopher Browning, Jr., 21, was sentenced by Berkeley County Circuit Judge Michael Lorensen following Browning’s convictions for three felony counts of Wanton Endangerment and one felony count of the Use of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
The charges were connected to a shooting incident Sept. 6, 2024, just outside the stadium of a Martinsburg High – Huntington High School football game in the area of Berry and Raleigh streets just before 7 p.m. while the game was underway.
